Emerging Communication Program

This program will focus on establishing small group and individual learning skills and improving emerging social and communication skills.  There will be a strong emphasis on academic and daily living independence skills as well as beginning communication skills in a natural small group setting.

This program is appropriate for 3-5 year old children with emerging communication and learning skills.

This program will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00-12:00 beginning June 9th and ending July 30th.  The group will be run by a BCBA consultant and will contain a maximum of 4 children.

Cost is $400/month.

Advanced Social/Communication Program

This program will focus on teaching social and communication skills in a classroom setting.  We will target initiating and responding to peers, cooperative play with peers, and advanced language skills.  Academics will be embedded in small and large group activities, but the focus of the program is teaching appropriate social behaviors in a classroom setting.

This program is appropriate for 3-6 year old children who will be attending preschool or kindergarten programs in the fall.

This program will meet  Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00-1:00 beginning June 2nd and ending July 30th.  The class will be run by a BCBA consultant with 2 additional therapists.  We will enroll a maximum of 10 children in the class (7 with special needs and 3 typically-developing peers).

Cost for the group is $800/month for children with special needs and $300/month for typically-developing peers. (Discounts are available for siblings who attend as peer models.)

Social and Vocational Skills for Older Children and Teens

This program will focus on combining daily living skills, functional academics, recreation and leisure skills while focusing on navigating the communicative and social needs of school age children and teens. Activities around which social and communicative goals will be worked on may include: age appropriate group games (sports, board, video etc.), meal planning and preparation, navigating and role playing social situations encountered by school aged children and teens, and individual and group recreation and leisure activities (listening to music, talking about age appropriate TV and movies, etc.)

This program is appropriate for ALL school age children and teens and will be individualized to teach relevant skills for each child.

This program will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00pm beginning June 9th and ending July 30.  Depending on level of interest in this group we may split it into two separate groups based on age or appropriate goals.  This program will be lead by a BCBA consultant with additional therapists as assistants.

Cost is $250/month for children with special needs and $100/month for typically-developing peers.
